Alan Turing was a pioneering mathematician whose code breaking work at Bletchley Park was critical to the Allied victory in World War II, saving countless lives. Despite his vital contribution, he was prosecuted and chemically castrated by the state for his sexuality. His story is a stark reminder of the devastating impact of discrimination and the importance of fighting for dignity and acceptance for all.
